REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSE
Students must register for a foreign language course in the first week of the semester.
A student taking a language course through ISP is obliged to contact the lecturer to determine the rules for receiving credits within the first three weeks of the semester.
Attendance at classes is mandatory. Possession of language certificates does not exempt students from attending classes or from taking the final exam.
It is permissible to miss 4 hours of classes (2 x 1.5h), exceeding this number will result in failure to pass. Absences can only be excused by a medical certificate or certificates from state offices submitted within 14 days of resuming classes.
In order to obtain a passing grade for the semester:
• in first-cycle studies, the student must obtain at least four partial grades, including two grades from tests conducted in an in-person format, checking knowledge of the material and one or two grades from a longer written assignment prepared during classes
• in second-cycle studies, the student must obtain four grades from activities indicated by the supervising teacher.
In the case of each grade, the pass threshold is 60%. The supervising teacher specifies the pass conditions in relation to the material planned for the semester.
